Carte is a free app where people share the menus they find — as QR code links or as photos — so the next person can read them too.
Every menu, link and list in Carte comes from someone who shared it. Carte is the platform that holds them together: a map of what people have already shared near you, lists you can build and follow, and a way to add the menus you come across. We are not affiliated with the restaurants shown, and we do not create or verify their menus.
Free on iOS and Android, with no subscription and no payments.
How it works
- Find a menu. Open the map to see restaurants near you that already have a menu shared, or browse lists.
- Share a menu. Scan the restaurant's QR code to share its menu link, or photograph a paper menu — up to 10 photos.
- Save it. Every menu you share goes onto one of your lists, so your places are kept together.
- Follow and upvote. Follow other people, upvote the lists and places you like, and earn CPoints for contributing.
What's in the app
- Map – restaurants with shared menus around you; open a place in your preferred maps app.
- QR menus – scan a restaurant's QR code and the link is saved and shared. It opens the restaurant's own menu site.
- Photo menus – photograph a paper menu; photos are shown as taken.
- Lists – build your own lists of restaurants, public or private, with a name, emoji avatar and optional country.
- Featured and Shared – editor-picked Featured lists, plus Shared lists from the community ranked by upvotes, filterable by country.
- Profiles – a username, an emoji avatar, followers and following, and your public lists.
- Upvotes – on both lists and restaurants.
- CPoints – points you earn for contributing menus.
- Private by choice – sharing is public by default, but a menu or list can be kept private, and is then visible only to you.
- Report – any menu can be reported in the app, and reported content is reviewed.
Browsing works without an account. Sign in with Google or Apple to share, save and follow.
Your data
- Location is only used to show nearby places, and only if you enable it.
- GPS data inside uploaded photos is removed on upload.
- You can delete your content and your account from inside the app.
